The Microsoft SFU 3.0 package does include X Window.
I haven't tried to pin down all the details, but I think this
is the case:
1. their Korn Shell logs in using X Window
2. their X Window library is several versions behind
what is current today.
My main disappointment is that the Korn Shell can create and
use soft links, but Windows XP Pro itself (including Windows
Explorer and cmd.exe) does not recognize them. Only the
UNIX package of commands recognize soft links.
I find soft links very useful in my development work.
The name of the MS UNIX subsystem is "Interix".
Interix includes FTP and TELNET servers.
Vanilla Windows XP Pro also has a TELNET server
and good networking support.
